Ride the Finger Lakes
If you ever get to Western, NY, take a ride south of Rochester to Bristol Mountain outside of Naples, New York. This is part of the Finger Lakes Region and it’s a perfect setting for a cycle trip. I actually put 400 miles on my bike in the last two days and totally enjoyed every minute it. The above photos are of my buddy Mark on his Electra Glide and another of my ride with a waterfall backdrop.

Your new baby is gorgeous & the area you are riding is truly spectacular! I love the combo of the thrill of being on a bike and the wonderful sights, aromas & fun of discovering new places to ride! Have fun, Speed lover!
ReplyDeleteI'll be in the Finger Lakes region in June and am really looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteYour new ride looks good Bud.
ReplyDeleteYou ever ride in the Adirondaks?
Rob, we thought the people in the Finger Lakes region were rather snobby and we were not over impressed with the roads either. Yes, it was nice, but nothing close to the Alleghenies in PA or so many other really impressive places. We stayed outside of Hammondsport at a place called the Vinehurst Inn and the owner was rude and snobby, possibly because we were on Harleys? Who knows, but if you are in the area, check out the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport. --Bobbi Yum & Buffalo
